About the Event
The Soar Higher Scramble golf outing has been a cornerstone of hands-on learning at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College since it was established in 2005 by students in the Event Marketing course.
Each year, Event Marketing students plan and execute the event as part of their coursework, gaining real-world experience in marketing strategy, sponsorship development, event promotion, and event operations.
In Spring 2023, the event was rebranded as the Soar Higher Scramble, reflecting Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s commitment to elevating student experiences and opportunities. The new name and visual identity were developed through a collaboration between Event Marketing students and the Design & Graphic Technology program.
Proceeds from the event support Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Marketing Program student initiatives, including American Marketing Association programming and experiential learning opportunities.
Community participation from sponsors, donors, and golfers makes this student-led event possible.
