A year ago, I decided to start my own photography business. Mainly because I was starting to love being behind the camera more. I thought it would be a great part time position, doing something I love and enjoy. I have two children; one loves to show livestock and both of them love to shoot trap. Both of which are a little on the expensive side when it comes to budgeting for them. So, what better way than to have a little side gig? Right?

A little backstory

When you make the choice to go to college, most people don’t end up working in a career they have went to school for. Honestly, between you and me, I thought that was going to be me! I am working in a full-time position, on call, hybrid. It’s starting to take up more of my time than i originally thought it would. Forgetting assignments, what days appointments are, so exhausted when you come home you can’t make dinner etc. Then you start your own business on top of the full-time job, two volunteer board positions, both of your kids’ interest plus your own and your spouse! A few days ago, I got the opportunity of a lifetime. Working with a fellow photographer that I now call my trusted friend and mentor. Showing me how to make this all work and come together! My passion is to serve customer’s and learn how to be the best salesman I can be!

Now to the best details….

Working with Katy has been amazing, learning things, practicing and showing me the ropes! I reached out to her to learn how to take newborn photos safer and wanting to improve the craft that I have so easily fell in love with! Who knew right? There is so much to going into one photoshoot with either one of us, most specifically, we want you leaving with the best experience life has to offer. She has been my Idol! LFP is now Luminous Fusion Photography! Where I want to strive to give the best customer service, I am able to, as well as the experience of a lifetime! I have been mentored which has shown me just how much my current career as paved the path to my photography business with customer service. Going above and beyond for the customers’ to make them feel comfortable like a trusted friend. If you have ideas, I am wanting to hear them. Maybe you see something I don’t see! Getting creative with clients is what I do best. Now not only can I do them outdoors but also in a studio setting! I mean, practice makes perfect right?

Getting back to the Best part……..

I have had the opportunity to rent my own studio… Yes! That’s right! However, I need help from all of you! What’s a little wager with your spouse, right? Having a little fun with it of course! I have set a goal for myself to be able to afford the first two months’ rent with my bookings. Whether you’d like an in-studio experience or outdoors…. I mean… hopefully mother nature helps us out a bit! I have some images that I have before working with Katy as well as my first photoshoot with her and until now! I’m starting out as a part time photographer and hopefully will be able to make it a full-time career! How it starts is I highly recommend an in person consult with me. We will go over what your visions are, what your clothing ideas are, studio, outdoors or a little of both. Do you have poses that you know you would like us to do. Then if you are a wall art or album kind of person. We will then go over all the pricing. Which the opportunities are endless depending what kind of prints you are looking for. I do have packages as well!

Then we come to the day of your session! You will have your hair and make-up done by my fantastic stylist. She will make you look stunning…I promise! Then all the fun begins, we will have many laughs, some serious times (don’t worry… not too many). We will have the best time! Once we are done for the day, it will take me about 2 weeks to have your pictures ready to order. Once they are ready, yes, you guessed it! We will bring you into the studio and look at them, heart the ones you love best and you will even get to see one of them on a mockup of your walls! We would have all your ordering done; you would get your prints within a couple of weeks maybe 3 if you ordered some beautiful wall art. You will have these memories for a lifetime! Sounds easy, right? I can’t wait to get started!
