Venue(The Sylvee)

• Parking
  • Across the street from the venue is a parking garage that charges a single fee for the whole night. Just make sure to bring your ticket with you, as you will need to pay for parking at the end of the night in the stairwell at one of the machines. There is also free street parking in the nearby neighborhood.
• Food and Beverage
  • They have many restaurants and bars in the vicinity of the venue, while also having beverages and light snacks available in the building. There is only one bar at the back of the main space.
• Bag Policy
  • Bags 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are allowed but will be searched.
• Queue
  • If you plan on waiting before doors open, you will be lined up against the side of the building, which, depending on the time of day will give some shade. Then you loop to the other sides of the building.

Artist(Role Model)

Tucker Pillsbury, aka Role Model, is an alternative pop singer who became popular in 2022 with his album RX, featuring songs “who hurt you” and “forever&more”. He famously dated Emma Chamberlain and was very public and open about their relationship, and eventually broke up. After the breakup, he released Kansas Anymore, featuring “writing’s on the wall” and “so far gone (featuring Lizzy McAlpine)”. Later releasing a deluxe album with his most famous song, “Sally, when the wine runs out”. He is full of energy and whimsy, which makes him very popular with a young adult crowd. Most of the people at his concert are females aged 16 to 24 and wear baby tees and baggy jeans. Although everyone wears something different, cowboy hats are very frequently worn since the release of his last album. Everyone is dancing around and moving during the concert, so pick out your shoes accordingly. He also has a wide variety of merchandise, including t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, tote bags, physical media, and posters.

My Experience

On March 25th 2025, my friend Rose and I drove from Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Madison, Wisconsin, to attend the sold-out Role Model No Place Like Tour show. We parked in the parking garage across the street from the venue and paid around $15 for the whole night. We headed over to the venue to wait in line, as it was 6:15 pm and the doors didn’t open until 7:00 pm. The line was all the way around the building when we found the end, but we just spent the time taking pictures and looking at other people’s outfits. Once the doors opened, we slowly got let into the venue, and I had been there before, so we went to the far end of the general admission area and were about seven rows away from the stage. It was warm in the building, as there is only standing room on the main level and a couple of rows of seats in the balcony, which cost extra. I wore shoes with some heels, and my feet were hurting after the opener, so I would advise people to wear flat shoes. The opener, Debbii Dawson, was really good and brought some energy out. Although I did not know any of her music, her style of music was very 80s, and people were dancing to it. Role Model got on stage at 9:10 pm and played to about 10:30 pm, which included all of my favorite songs and lots of dancing. He broke it down a couple of times and brought a fan onstage during his song “Sally, when the wine runs out”. He joked around a couple of times about Wisconsin and talked with some of the audience. It was an amazing show, and after I got some merchandise and walked back to the car. Getting out of the building was hard as everyone was going towards the same doors and trying to get past people. On the bright side, since my friend and I waited for the merchandise, the traffic outside the venue had cleared, so once we got to the car, it was an easy out and onto the highway home. We stopped at Kwik Trip to use the restrooms and get a snack, and then drove all the way home.

For anyone who is looking into going to see Role Model, I would advise you to do it and make sure to bring a lot of energy. He is such a fun guy and will make sure everyone is having a good time and make you dance.

The Sylvee is a great venue that I keep going back to with easy parking and great views of the stage, no matter where you are in the building, unless you’re behind a tall person. I would advise you to try not to bring a bag in and to be there before doors open so you can get closer to the stage and go to the farther side, as most people stay on the side where you enter.
