The topic I chose was about the mental health crisis going on in the US today. This is a rising topic that causes depression, anxiety, and in some cases, suicide. This is an ongoing threat to society, and with that, it makes the people who are struggling with it feel even worse. There is a constant struggle with trying to find a provider that is accepting new patients. Mental health is a difficult thing to put a demographic on because it can affect anyone. I have found that most of what people care about when they are struggling is to find a way out. This fits into the crisis because there is such a shortage of providers who are unable to help those who are struggling.

What if I told you that you are not alone and I have a way that can help? I have also been down this road, and I know it can be a struggle to find the right place to go or the right direction to turn. With this website, I am creating something that can help ease the worries. I am here to help you find providers that accept new patients and who are real people who really care.

With this website, I am creating, there will be providers and companies that specialize in mental health concerns and are readily available. The vision for this website is that you won’t have to wait to see someone because once this feeling surfaces, you want to act on it right away. With the local providers today, they say they are accepting new people, but they have you scheduled months in advance, and you are just waiting to be seen. This is one of the biggest issues I see because with mental it can be a case of life or death. With this website, it will connect you to a provider instantly, and you won’t have to feel like you are on the back burner again. I have this vision based on my own experience, and having to wait a very long time to be seen. Having providers available saves time, energy, and the feeling of being helpless. This is for ages 15-40 who are struggling and feeling like they aren’t enough.

By taking this first step, such as reaching out for help, you are opening a world of possibilities, and you start to see a light shine through the darkness. You can help someone by being a support system. Sometimes, all you need is someone there, not just to talk about mental health, just the fact of being there with someone is a start that can make you feel seen. I encourage anyone who is struggling to find their support system and advocate for you along with yourself. There are different ways you can go about taking care of mental health, such as exercising, counseling, medication, and even support groups.

One thing to note about mental health is that it comes and goes. It can change daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and it all depends on the person. A common assumption I see quite often is that people think that mental health issues are trauma-based. This isn’t a wrong assumption, but it also can just be how you are genetically, and it can affect even the happiest of people. I have also seen where adults born in the older generations are unsure of how to handle it.

My motivation and inspiration for this is to not have anyone suffer the way I did when looking to better myself. I went through a lot to get to this point, and I know there are people out there that have it worse, and the thought scares me because everyone deserves a chance at life and to get the medical attention they need. Mental Health often gets overlooked and bypassed. I was not to change that into something that is affecting many people, and how it is okay to not be okay. With the right steps, many lives will change for the better and will help anyone struggling. One of my other goals is to use this to help veterans struggling with PTSD and help them take the right steps to cope and understand that there are options for them to help them.

So if you or anyone you know is struggling, reach out and help. Show you how much you care about the well-being of the mind. It is a huge step when you can just have the person in your life say ” I am here for you”. With that be kind to your mind and treat yourself with respect!
